Flathead River

When the wind blows from the north, we often spend time on the Flathead River where there's plenty of protected swimming.

The Flathead Rivers flows south out of Flathead Lake for four miles before you reach the dam.  In the spring, there's a nice current to the river, but around July 1st, the dam is closed, and the river is flat.

The Flathead River offers some unique scenery.  The glacial cliffs resemble the White Cliffs of Dover and the rock formations along the river are spectacular.

In addition to your swimsuit, pack your courage as we'll test out the ROPE SWING and the A-FRAME CLIFF JUMP!
