Conquering the Beast

In January of 2021, the INAUGURAL Conquering the Beast virtual swim will took place. This is an 80-mile circumnavigation following the Flathead Lake Marine Trail (pictured below).

TO BEGIN YOUR MISSION

Create your account and sign up at MyVirtualMission.com: Conquering the Beast The entry fee is only $10!
Add your workout mileage manually to the app OR...Link your wearable device through GARMIN or STRAVA.
Link STRAVA or GARMIN to your MyVirtualMission account.
Start swimming and watch your progress along the 15-mile course.

RULES

Swims should be safe AND must be open for swimming by local authorities. Please adhere to social distancing.
Open water OR pool swims count.
Distances may be uploaded manually or directly from a smart watch application. The honor system is in place.
You have 120 days to complete the mission.
Category I and Category II swimwear are encouraged. Tow floats and toys (fins, paddles, etc.) are allowed.

ELIGIBILITY

ALL Swimmers are encouraged to participate. There are no age-groups or other designations.

LEADERBOARD

There is a Leaderboard function built into the app, so you will be able to see how everyone is progressing.

CERTIFICATES & AWARDS

Certificates of accomplishment will be e-mailed at the conclusion of the event.

FEES & DEADLINES

$10 entry fee.

ADDITIONAL DONATIONS

It is 100% up to you, but this event is associated with The Flathead Lakers, a 501c-3 with the mission of protecting the Flathead Lake watershed. Please consider an extra donation for a good cause.
