Conquering the Beast
In January of 2021, the INAUGURAL Conquering the Beast virtual swim will take place. This is an 80-mile circumnavigation following the Flathead Lake Marine Trail (pictured right).
Conquering the Beast is Stage Three of the Flathead Lake Open Water Virtual Triple Crown.
Chasing the Grizzly
In 2010, a 4-year-old female Grizzly Bear swam on a fifteen-mile journey from Painted Rocks to the East Shore. She had three intermediate stops at Wild Horse Island (4 miles), Kings Point (4 miles), and Bird Island (4 miles) before getting out near Blue Bay (3 miles).
Chasing the Grizzly is Stage One of the Flathead Lake Open Water Virtual Triple Crown.
